Destinie Baker Sutton, Esq. installed as President of the Palm Beach County Black Women Lawyers Association

Destinie Baker Sutton, Esq. was installed as President of the Palm Beach County Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association (SDCBWLA), during their Installation of Officers Ceremony at Frenchman’s Reserve on June 29, 2023. With over 100 people in attendance, Scott Westheimer, President of The Florida Bar, provided congratulatory remarks as well as Ethel Isaacs Williams, Esq., National President of The Links, Incorporated; Heather Greenhill Stohlman, President of the Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL; Terrence Hamilton, CEO of the Boy Scouts of America Gulf Stream Council; and Sia Baker-Barnes, Florida Bar Board of Governor. Several members of our esteemed judiciary were in attendance, including Florida Supreme Court Justice Renatha Francis; Penny Augustin-Birch, Federal Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Florida; and several members of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.

Sutton provided remarks, stating that it is an honor and a privilege to be a co-founder and serve as the third president of SDCBWLA. Sutton will implement her theme, “Raise Each Other Up!” by focusing on partnerships with Black women and minority-owned business, bar associations, organizations, the state-wide legal and broader community, and allies. The organization will collaborate, mentor, and empower its members.
